Modern Slavery
Faculty members David Okech and Lydia Aletraris are featured in UGA Today for their work to end human trafficking. Dr. Okech serves as the inaugural director of the recently established Center on Human Trafficking Research & Outreach. Dr. Aletraris is the program coordinator for the Africa Programming and Research Initiative to End Slavery (APRIES). In collaboration with faculty across campus and alumni, UGA is working to end the $150B human trafficking industry. To learn more visit:
